Featuring Corey Staab of CS Plumbing and Gasfitting
Meet Corey Staab, the owner of CS Plumbing and Gasfitting, a reputable plumbing and gas service company located in Slave Lake, Alberta. In June 2011, after the Slave Lake Wildfire, Corey saw the huge demand for construction and decided to start his own business after finishing his plumbing apprenticeship. He has since built a business that is known for providing high-quality plumbing and gas services, including installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing fixtures, hot water tanks, boilers, drain cleaning, and even tiling services.
Two years ago, Corey expanded his business by opening a sister company called CS Plumbing Supply, which provides a wide selection of plumbing parts, brand-name products, tools, plumbing solutions, HVAC/R, waterworks, and more. They also keep plenty of stock on hand for late-night emergency jobs, ensuring that their customers never have to wait. With their services available 24/7, CS Plumbing and Gasfitting truly put their customers first.
Despite the success of his business, Corey admits that he had never been very active on social media or other marketing channels. However, he knew that digital marketing was the future and that improving his business's online presence would help it grow even more. Fortunately, Corey found the Digital Economy Program and received encouragement from the Digital Service Squad team, which made him realize the importance of advertising his business online
.
With the help of the Digital Economy Program, Corey is now working to improve his business's online presence, which will help him reach new customers and expand his business even further. By embracing digital marketing, Corey is confident that CS Plumbing and Gasfitting will continue to provide high-quality plumbing and gas services to the people of Slave Lake for many years to come.
“I never did a website, and I don’t know how to do it. I am thankful that with the help of Community Futures Digital Squad members, I have a website now. Aside from having a website, I also learned how to schedule my post through the Meta business suite. I really learned a lot from the program”
- Corey Staab
In today's digital age, having a strong online presence is crucial for the success of any business. Unfortunately, many small business owners struggle with creating and maintaining a digital presence, especially when it comes to digital marketing. That's why programs like the Digital Economy Program exist to help business owners like Corey Staab, the owner of CS Plumbing and Gasfitting, to develop their digital marketing skills and improve their online presence.
Corey joined the Digital Economy Program after being approached by Community Futures, and he started working with Sunny, a Digital Service Squad member who provided him with training on a variety of marketing tools and techniques. With Sunny's help, Corey was able to learn how to use Canva, make an Instagram account, and improve his search engine optimization (SEO) skills to get a higher ranking on Google. Corey also learned how to use Meta Business Suite to schedule social media posts effectively, which has saved him time and helped him stay consistent with his social media marketing efforts.
In addition to working with Sunny, Corey also received coaching from Fatima, another Digital Service Squad member. Fatima helped Corey with content creation, including making reels and videos to showcase his recent projects and using hashtags to boost engagement. As a result of Fatima's coaching, Corey has been able to create more engaging and high-quality content that resonates with his audience.
Finally, Fatima created CS Plumbing's first website and linked it to a personalized domain name, showcasing all the services CS Plumbing and Gasfitting offers. Having a website has been crucial for Corey's business, as it allows potential customers to learn more about his services and contact him easily.
Thanks to the Digital Economy Program and the support of the Digital Service Squad team, Corey's company has been able to improve its online presence significantly. With a strong online presence and an effective digital marketing strategy, Corey's business is now better positioned to attract new customers and grow in the competitive plumbing and gas service industry.
