12:15 PM – ATB Financial: Tapping into Alberta’s Small Business Ecosystem Explore Alberta’s top resources for new and growing businesses—including funding, tools, and templates.

1:15 PM – CRA: What Indigenous Businesses Need to Know About Taxes CRA Liaison Officer Aman Vohra will share essential tips for staying compliant, avoiding common pitfalls, and understanding tax deductions.

2:00 PM – Building Confidence Learn practical strategies for strengthening self-belief and confidently showing up as a business leader.

2:45 PM – Futurpreneur: Supporting Young Entrepreneurs Discover how Futurpreneur supports aspiring business owners aged 18–39 with financing, mentorship, and business tools.

Jocelyn Eisert has been delivering education preparedness, employment readiness, entrepreneurial coaching, and event management services since 2008. The youngest of 17 children and orphaned at 17, Jocelyn embodies resilience and entrepreneurial spirit. Now part of the Futurpreneur team, she brings years of experience and a passion for helping others succeed.


Based in Fort St. John, BC, she has worked with notable figures like Theo Fleury, Adam Bach, and Trevor Linden, making a lasting impact across dozens of communities. Jocelyn is known not just for who she meets, but for the meaningful connections and results she brings to each event.


Mrs. Eisert graduated from high school with honors in 1991 and completed her nursing assistant at Red River Community College. Realizing quickly that the medical field was not for her, she graduated from Herzing Career College in 1995 with a certificate in Business Administration. Since then, Jocelyn has completed Project Management Level 1 and 2, the Adult Educator Diploma and numerous workshops and seminars across the Country over the past three decades.


Her true joy lies in empowering others—and one day, she hopes to be a comedian, using laughter as a tool for healing and connection.

Cliff Turner is an Entrepreneur Ecosystem Strategist at ATB Financial, dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs throughout Alberta. His passion lies in helping entrepreneurs navigate the challenges and changes they encounter throughout all stages of their business journey. 


Cliff  has been a part of the small business ecosystem since 2005. As an Entrepreneur Ecosystem Strategist for ATB Financial, Cliff functions as a thinking partner, guide and connection to resources for small businesses.


Presentation: Tapping Into Alberta's Small Business Ecosystem

The small business support ecosystem in Alberta is strong, but it is also large and can be overwhelming. In this session, you will learn about several organizations and resources available to help you on your journey through building a business.
