The Lesser Slave Lake Beachfest Society, in partnership with Community Futures Lesser Slave Lake Region, is bringing the community together for an unforgettable two-day celebration—Beachfest 2026: Prehistoric Shores.
Step into a world where summer fun meets prehistoric adventure! This year’s theme, Prehistoric Shores 🦖, transforms Slave Lake into a vibrant, family-friendly destination filled with exciting activities, entertainment, and community spirit. Whether you're a local resident or visiting from nearby communities, Beachfest is your chance to enjoy the sun, connect with others, and support local businesses.

SANDCASTLE COMPETITION
Get ready to build, create, and make unforgettable memories at the Beachfest 2026 Sandcastle Competition! Gather your team, showcase your creativity, and enjoy a fun-filled day of sun, sand, and community spirit at Devonshire Beach.
To register, please complete the form below and be sure to review the Sandcastle Rules & Guidelines before signing up. Please note that each category has a registration fee. Payment is accepted via e-transfer to slavelakebeachfest@gmail.com.

VOLLEYBALL COMPETITION

DINO RACE 🦖
How It Works
Participants will race while wearing inflatable dinosaur costumes.
Racers must stay within the designated race area.
The first racer to cross the finish line wins.
Rules
No pushing, tripping, or blocking other participants.
Costumes must stay inflated during the race.
Follow instructions from volunteers and event staff at all times.
FREE REGISTRATION: Registration will take place on the day of the event. A limited number of inflatable dinosaur costumes (5–6) will be available for participants to use. Participants are also welcome to bring their own dinosaur costumes to join the fun!
TUG OF WAR COMPETITION
Feel the energy and friendly competition at the Beachfest Tug of War!
Gather your team, test your strength, and battle it out on the sand

CARDBOARD BOAT RACE
Join the fun and excitement of the Cardboard Boat Race hosted by the Lesser Slave Lake Arts Council during Beachfest 2026! Watch teams put their creativity and teamwork to the test as they race handmade cardboard boats across the water.
