About The Event

Mark your calendars for November 1st, from 6 to 9 PM, as the Slave Lake and Area Mental Health Network & Rural Mental Health Network host the Men’s Mental Health Awareness & Solutions Forum, featuring a truly remarkable keynote speaker, Kristopher Marks. 


This important gathering, organized in collaboration with Alberta Health Services, the Rotary Club of Slave Lake Public Library, Standing in Unity, Rotary Club of Slave Lake, FCSS Slave Lake and Community Futures, focuses on raising awareness about mental health, with a special emphasis on men’s mental health.


About the speaker: 

Kristopher Marks- as the Founder and CEO of VĪV Mental Health, Kris brings a unique and profound perspective to the discussion on mental health. Diagnosed with PTSD in 2014, Kris has become a vocal advocate for men’s mental health, suicide prevention, and community resource development. His lived experience and unwavering commitment to social change make him a powerful voice in the field.


Kris's keynote will offer a blend of heartfelt personal stories and actionable solutions, making it a must-attend for anyone passionate about mental health advocacy.

  • Phone numbers

  • Demographic information (e.g., date of birth, occupation)

Program-Specific Information collected:

For specific programs, we require additional personal information, including:

  • Race (as required by government funding partners)

  • Social Insurance Number (SIN) (as required by government funding partners, when or if a qualified participant)

  • Financial information (as required by government funding partners)

 

Data Security:

The Participant agrees that Community Futures Lesser Slave Lake Region and other service providers participating in any CFLSLR program may store Participant Data (including any Personal Data) in secure servers in Canada and may access that Participant Data (including any Personal Data) from these servers from time to time.

 

 

Your Consent:

By signing this document, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this disclaimer. You understand that your personal information will be protected in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act of Alberta and PIPEDA.
