About The Event
The Slave Lake & Area Mental Health Network invites you to the 2nd Annual Men’s Mental Health Forum, an evening dedicated to real conversations and practical tools for men’s wellness.
This year’s forum—presented in collaboration with Men’s Shed Alberta, Alberta Health Services, the Rotary Club of Slave Lake Public Library, FCSS Slave Lake, ATCO Energy Systems, and Community Futures—will focus on building stronger connections, resilience, and mental wellness in our community.
Why Attend?
Feedback from our 2024 forum was clear: men want more than awareness. They’re seeking practical solutions, ongoing connection, and a place to belong.
This year, we’re building on that momentum with:
🎤 Keynote Speaker Allan Kehler – Allan will explore barriers to seeking help, the power of vulnerability, and redefining what it means to be a man.
👥 Men’s Shed Alberta Presentation – Learn about the Men’s Shed model and how it can support local planning for a Shed in our region, creating a non-clinical, community-driven space where men can connect, share skills, and thrive.
💬 Panel Discussion – Engaging conversations that bring local perspectives and shared experiences to light.
