About The Event

What could you do with a few extra hours in your week? 🤖⏱️

Join Community Futures Lesser Slave Lake Region for AI for Small Business Owners: Save Time and Get More Done  a practical, beginner-friendly session created for small business owners who want to work smarter, save time, and feel more confident using AI.

This is not a technical lecture. You’ll see real examples, follow along, and practice simple ways AI can help with everyday business tasks, including social media, promotions, emails, customer communication, brainstorming, planning, writing, and problem-solving.

You’ll also learn how to get better results with better prompts, how to keep your content sounding local and human, and what to watch for when it comes to privacy, accuracy, tone, and knowing when your own judgment still needs to lead.

The session will be approximately 25% overview and 75% demonstrations and hands-on practice, so you can start applying what you learn right away.

Participants will gather in person at the Northern Lakes College Lecture Theatre in Slave Lake, while Heath Armbruster, MBA, PTech, leads the group live virtually. Heath brings nearly three decades of experience in technology, education, digital learning, cybersecurity, and industry training, with past experience working in northern Alberta and with Northern Lakes College.
